９月百貨店、売上高３～４割減　コロナ禍、増税駆け込み反動―大手４社

　百貨店大手４社が１日発表した９月の既存店売上高（速報）は、前年同月比３～４割減少した。新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響に加え、昨年１０月の消費税増税前の駆け込み需要の反動、台風による臨時休業もあり、マイナス幅が拡大した。
　大丸と松坂屋を傘下に持つＪ・フロントリテイリングは４０．６％減、高島屋は３５．２％減、三越伊勢丹ホールディングスは３２．７％減、そごう・西武は２９．１％減と、いずれも８月から大幅に悪化した。高級ブランド品や宝飾品は想定したほど悪くなかったものの、振るわなかった。「コロナで訪日外国人消費は消滅状態」（高島屋）で、東京や大阪の旗艦店での苦戦が続いている。（2020/10/01-19:12）

Four major Japanese department store operators said Thursday that their same-store sales in September fell about 30 to 40 pct from a year before amid the new coronavirus epidemic.
The declines were steeper than those in August, reflecting temporary store closures due to strong Typhoon Haishen.
