白石被告、起訴内容認める　弁護側は承諾殺人主張―座間９遺体初公判・東京地裁支部

　神奈川県座間市のアパートで２０１７年１０月、当時１５～２６歳の男女９人の遺体が見つかった事件で、強盗・強制性交殺人罪などに問われた白石隆浩被告（２９）の裁判員裁判の初公判が３０日、東京地裁立川支部（矢野直邦裁判長）であり、被告は「間違いありません」と起訴内容を認めた。
　弁護側は、被害者側が殺害に同意していたとして、より刑の軽い承諾殺人罪にとどまると主張。被告は事件当時、精神障害で心神喪失か心神耗弱状態だったと述べ、責任能力を争う姿勢を示した。
　検察側は冒頭陳述で、白石被告は１７年８月上旬ごろ、ツイッターで自殺願望を示した女性＝当時（２１）＝と知り合ったが、「いずれ自分から離れる」と感じて殺害を決意したと指摘。殺害後に数十万円を得たことなどに味をしめて繰り返すことを決め、約２カ月間にさらに８人を殺したと主張した。
　また、殺害について被害者の承諾はなく、「被告の行為は単なる殺人」と強調。被告は一貫して目的にかなった行動を取っており、責任能力にも問題はないとした。
　弁護側は冒頭陳述で、被害者はＳＮＳ（インターネット交流サイト）上で自殺願望を示していたとし、「被告によって死が実現される可能性も分かって（被告の所に）来た」と主張した。
　公判は予備日を含め計２４回を予定。被害者を三つのグループに分け、それぞれ中間論告・弁論が行われる。判決は１２月１５日。（2020/09/30-18:12）

Suspect for Zama Killings Pleads Guilty in 1st Hearing

A 29-year-old suspect for the alleged murders of nine people in Zama in the eastern Japan prefecture of Kanagawa pleaded guilty to the charges against him in court on Wednesday.
   "The charges are true," Takahiro Shiraishi said in the first hearing of a lay-judge trial for him at the Tachikawa branch of Tokyo District Court.
   The defense side claimed that Shiraishi should be charged with murders with consent from the victims, for a lighter sentence.
   He was in a state of insanity or diminished capacity at the time of the crimes, the defense side said, suggesting that it will argue against Shiraishi's criminal responsibility.
   Hearings in the trial will be held 24 times including on spare days. The verdict will be handed down on Dec. 15.
