ＤＣＭ、島忠買収を検討　ホームセンター首位に

　ホームセンター「ホーマック」などを展開するＤＣＭホールディングスが、同業の島忠を買収する方向で検討していることが１８日分かった。両社の売上高の単純合計は約５８００億円で、実現すれば業界首位に浮上する。今後、業界再編が加速する可能性がある。
　関係者によると、ＤＣＭはＴＯＢ（株式公開買い付け）によって島忠株式の過半数取得を目指す。ホームセンター業界は店舗数の増加が続く一方、人口減少を背景に成長が頭打ちとなっており、競争が激化している。異業種やインターネット通販との競合もあり、規模拡大で生き残りを図る。（2020/09/18-19:50）

Major Japanese hardware store operator DCM Holdings Co. is considering acquiring domestic industry rival Shimachu Co. , it was learned Friday.
With the two companies having combined annual sales of over 580 billion yen, they would dethrone Cainz Co. to become a new leader in the Japanese hardware store industry if the acquisition succeeds.
