ＪＲ東日本、在来線特急の物流活用を試行　伊豆の鮮魚を東京に

　ＪＲ東日本は１８日、在来線の特急「踊り子」を使って伊豆急行と共同で鮮魚を東京に直送する取り組みを２６日に試行すると発表した。新幹線の物流利用は行われているが、在来線も活用する。（2020/09/18-14:54）

JR East Express Train to Deliver Fresh Fish to Tokyo

East Japan Railway Co. , or JR East, said Friday it will conduct a test to use its Odoriko limited express train for transporting fresh fish from the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, central Japan, to Tokyo, on Sept. 26, in cooperation with local railway operator Izukyu Corp.
JR East already uses Shinkansen bullet trains for goods transportation.
