日立、英原発の撤退発表　政府の輸出戦略頓挫

　日立製作所は１６日、英国の原発建設事業から撤退すると発表した。２０１９年１月の計画凍結後も追加支援をめぐる英側との協議は進まず、採算の見通しが立たないと判断した。同日までに日英両政府に撤退方針を伝えた。
　原発輸出は安倍晋三前政権が推進してきた成長戦略の柱の一つ。日立の撤退で日本メーカーによる原発輸出計画は事実上なくなり、政府の戦略も頓挫することになる。
　日立は１２年に英原発事業会社ホライズン・ニュークリア・パワーを買収し、英中西部アングルシー島に原発２基の建設を計画していた。ただ、資金調達をめぐる英政府との協議が難航し、計画を凍結していた。（2020/09/16-18:57）

Japanese machinery and electronics giant Hitachi Ltd. said Wednesday that it has decided to withdraw from its nuclear plant construction project in the Britain.
Hitachi concluded that it would be difficult for the company to make profits from the project, as it failed to see progress in its negotiations for additional financial aid from the British government even after the firm froze the project in January 2019.
