核廃絶へ「連帯」を　平和宣言、核禁条約の批准要請―７５回目、広島原爆の日

　広島は６日、７５回目の原爆の日を迎えた。広島市中区の平和記念公園では、市主催の「原爆死没者慰霊式・平和祈念式」（平和記念式典）が開かれ、被爆者や遺族、安倍晋三首相ら７８５人が参列。松井一実市長は平和宣言で、日本政府に「世界中の人々が被爆地ヒロシマの心に共感し『連帯』するよう訴えていただきたい」と要請し、核兵器禁止条約の批准を求めた。
　式典には、８３カ国と欧州連合（ＥＵ）の代表が参列。原爆が投下された午前８時１５分には、マスクを着用した遺族代表らが「平和の鐘」を打ち鳴らし、１分間の黙とうをささげた。
　松井市長は宣言で、新型コロナウイルスの脅威を乗り越えるためにも世界が連帯する重要性を強調。今の平和な広島があるのは先人が苦難に立ち向かった成果とし、「これからの広島は、世界中の人々が核兵器廃絶と世界恒久平和の実現に向けて『連帯』することを市民社会の総意にしていく責務がある」と訴えた。
　世界の指導者に対しては、核軍縮への建設的対話を継続し、核に頼らない安全保障体制構築に向け全力を尽くすよう求めた。
　安倍首相はあいさつで、「非核三原則を堅持し、核兵器のない世界の実現に向けた国際社会の取り組みをリードする」と述べた。
　参列予定だった国連のグテレス事務総長はビデオメッセージを寄せ、「核兵器の危険を完全に排除する唯一の方法は、核兵器を完全に廃絶することだ」と述べた。
　式典では、松井市長と遺族代表２人が、この１年間に死亡が確認された４９４３人の名前を記した原爆死没者名簿を慰霊碑に納めた。犠牲者は３２万４１２９人となった。被爆者健康手帳を持つ人は今年３月末時点で全国に１３万６６８２人で、平均年齢は８３歳を超えている。
　今年は新型ウイルス対策として、式典参列者席を例年より大幅に縮小し、平和宣言後の放鳩もしなかった。式典中の合唱や吹奏楽団の演奏をとりやめ、高校生計４人が被爆ピアノの演奏と歌唱を行った。（2020/08/06-12:16）

People in Hiroshima marked the 75th anniversary of the U.S. atomic bombing of the western Japan city on Thursday, mourning for the victims and praying for peace.
   In the Peace Declaration during the annual Peace Memorial Ceremony, held at the city's Peace Memorial Park, Hiroshima Mayor Kazumi Matsui urged the Japanese government to enter into the U.N. nuclear weapons ban treaty, in order to "enhance its role as mediator between the nuclear weapon and nonnuclear weapon states."
   "As the only nation to suffer a nuclear attack, Japan must persuade the global public to unite with the spirit of Hiroshima," the mayor stressed.
   Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said in his speech that the government will maintain its three nonnuclear principles and lead the international community toward the goal of realizing a world without nuclear weapons.
   The ceremony's participants, including representatives from 83 countries and the European Union, offered one-minute silent prayers at 8:15 a.m. (11:15 p.m. Wednesday GMT), the time when the atomic bomb was dropped on Aug. 6, 1945.
