Ｇ７サミット後の隔離免除　要人往来でルール化―政府調整

　政府は、安倍晋三首相が８月末にも米国で開催される先進７カ国首脳会議（Ｇ７サミット）に出席した場合、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大を防ぐための水際対策として講じている帰国後２週間の自主隔離を免除する方向で調整に入った。山積する政治課題に遅滞なく対処するためで、外国要人来日の際にも適用したい考えだ。政府関係者が２７日明らかにした。
　免除の条件としては、首相が帰国した際のＰＣＲ検査での「陰性」確認、現地での会談場所の限定、公共交通機関の不使用や一般人との接触回避などを検討している。今月９、１０両日にビーガン米国務副長官が来日した際も、こうした条件で入国後の自主隔離を免除した。感染再拡大が続く米国内の状況を見極めた上で最終判断する。
　政府は併せて、コロナ禍で停滞する諸外国との要人往来の本格的再開に向け、感染拡大防止と両立させるためのルール整備も検討を急ぐ。８月上旬で調整している茂木敏充外相の英国訪問がその試行の機会となる見通しだ。（2020/07/27-16:44）

Abe Likely to Be Quarantine-Free upon Return from G-7 Summit

The Japanese government is considering exempting Prime Minister Shinzo Abe from self-quarantine following a summit of Group of Seven leaders, expected to take place in the United States in late August, informed sources said Monday.
   The government currently asks all people entering Japan to self-quarantine for two weeks, in the fight against the coronavirus.
   The exemption is designed to help Abe address a host of issues smoothly, the sources said.
   The government also aims to apply such a quarantine exemption when foreign dignitaries come to Japan, the sources said.
   It is expected to set some conditions for making Abe quarantine-free, including a negative polymerase chain reaction test result upon return from the United States.
