イベント緩和、８月末まで凍結　コロナ再拡大で足踏み―高齢者向け出張検査検討

　政府は２２日、新型コロナウイルス感染症対策本部（本部長・安倍晋三首相）の会合を首相官邸で開き、８月１日以降に予定されていた大規模イベントの開催制限緩和をいったん凍結することを決めた。参加人数の上限を５０００人とする現在の目安について、首相は「８月末まで維持しつつ、その間の感染状況を踏まえて判断する」と表明した。
　緊急事態宣言の解除後、プロスポーツやコンサートなど大規模イベントに参加できる人数の制限は段階的に緩和されてきたが、新型コロナ感染の全国的な再拡大を受け足踏みを余儀なくされた。
　首相は対策本部で、現在の感染状況について「十分に警戒すべきだが、４月の緊急事態宣言時とは大きく異なる」と述べ、引き続き感染対策と社会・経済活動の両立を目指す考えを強調。同時に高齢者らの感染防止強化策として、「感染リスクが高いと判断される場合、医療機関や高齢者施設などで出張方式の検査ができるよう検討を進める」と述べた。
　これに先立ち、政府は有識者による新型コロナ感染症対策分科会（会長・尾身茂地域医療機能推進機構理事長）を開催。イベント参加人数の上限撤廃は「慎重に考えるべきだ」とする見解で一致した。
　ただ、西村康稔経済再生担当相は記者会見で、８月末を待たずに制限を緩和する可能性について「感染状況に応じて判断したい」と述べ、前倒しもあり得るとの認識を示した。
　西村氏はまた、現在は全面的な自粛を求めている大規模な祭りなどについて、８月以降も開催を控えるよう求めた。
　一方、分科会は営業時間短縮や休業の要請など追加的な感染対策とともに、今後の爆発的な感染拡大を想定した対応などを早急に検討するよう政府に提言した。（2020/07/22-22:09）

The Japanese government will delay a planned further easing of coronavirus-linked restrictions on the number of spectators at large-scale events, economic revitalization minister Yasutoshi Nishimura said Wednesday.
   At a meeting of an expert panel subgroup on measures to combat COVID-19, the government discussed what to do with the restrictions in August and later, including a cap on event attendees set at 5,000 people.
   "We'll keep (the cap) until the end of August," Nishimura told reporters after the meeting. The decision will delay the planned removal of the cap by one month.
   At the meeting, Nishimura said that the number of coronavirus cases is increasing not only in the Tokyo metropolitan and Kansai western regions but also in the central prefecture of Aichi and the southwestern prefecture of Fukuoka.
   "I want you to discuss what kind of measures are needed to prepare for various situations," Nishimura told the meeting.
