クウェートでアビガン治験　１０００人規模で―富士フイルム

　富士フイルムなどが新型コロナウイルスの治療薬候補「アビガン」の臨床試験（治験）を７月中にもクウェートで始めることが２０日、分かった。参加者は最大１０００人程度に上る見通しで、新型コロナ治療薬としての有効性や安全性を確認する。有効なデータが得られれば、日本での承認申請に活用する可能性がある。
　クウェートで実施する治験は、アビガンの海外での製造や販売権を独占的に付与されたインドの大手製薬会社、ドクター・レディーズ・ラボラトリーズが主体となり、実施する。富士フイルムは治験薬の提供などで協力する。（2020/07/20-17:07）

A clinical trial for the influenza drug Avigan, a potential treatment for the COVID-19 disease caused by the novel coronavirus, will begin in Kuwait as early as this month, informed sources said Monday.
Up to 1,000 people are expected to participate in the trial to confirm the efficacy and safety of the drug as a coronavirus remedy.
