ｅスポーツ選手権が開幕＝国体初、サッカーなど－茨城

　茨城県で開催中の国民体育大会で初の導入となったコンピューターゲームで勝敗を競う「ｅスポーツ」の都道府県対抗選手権が５日、開幕した。各地の予選を勝ち抜いた約６００人の代表選手が集結。サッカー、カーレース、パズルの３種目のゲームで、２日間熱戦を繰り広げる。
　開会式では、各都道府県の代表選手らがプラカードを手に次々と入場行進。茨城県代表の松原葵さん（１７）が「ｅスポーツを愛する人たちのため、正々堂々と戦う」と選手宣誓した。
　県国体局によると、ｅスポーツ選手権は正式種目ではなく、「文化プログラムの一環」という位置付けだが、国体での導入は初。３月から各地で行われた予選大会には、約１万５０００人が参加した。（2019/10/05-16:21）

Japanese esports championships started Saturday at the Tsukuba International Congress Center as part of the annual National Sports Festival for the first time.
   Around 600 prefectural representatives gathered at the center in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture, northeast of Tokyo, to compete in soccer, motor race and puzzle game championships for two days.
   "We will fight openly and squarely for esports fans," said Ibaraki representative Aoi Matsubara, 17, making an oath of fair play at the opening ceremony.
   Esports joined the prestigious sports festival as part of a cultural program, according to the Ibaraki prefectural government.
   Some 15,000 players participated in preliminary competitions held nationwide from March.
