東芝、ＡＩで密集検知　大量のカメラ画像を高速解析

　東芝は、１分間に約１８０台のカメラ画像を高速解析し人の密集度合いを検知する人工知能（ＡＩ）技術を開発した。新型コロナウイルスの感染予防のため、駅や空港などの公共施設や大規模商業ビルの混雑状況をリアルタイムで把握する必要性が高まっており、今年度中の製品化を目指す。（2020/06/12-00:18）

Toshiba Develops AI Technology to Detect Crowds

Japan's Toshiba Corp. has developed an artificial intelligence technology that can analyze images from some 180 cameras in one minute to assess crowd density.
The company aims to commercialize the technology by the end of March 2021, amid a rise in the need to grasp the state of congestion in real time at public facilities, including train stations, airports and large commercial buildings, in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.
