売り上げ6割、関電から=5年で65億円受注-資金提供の建設会社

 関西電力幹部が福井県高浜町の森山栄治元助役(故人)から多額の金品を受け取っていた問題で、森山氏に資金提供した建設会社「吉田開発」(同町)の2018年度の売上高のうち、約6割が関電側から受注した工事だったことが3日までに分かった。過去5年間で総額約65億円に上り、両者の密接な関係が浮き彫りになった。
 関電によると、吉田開発の18年度の売上高は約22億円。このうち関電から直接受注した工事が約2億5000万円、ゼネコンの下請けとして間接的に受注した工事が約10億6000万円で、両者で全体の約6割を占める。(2019/10/03-18:43)

60 Pct of Sales at Firm Linked to Ex-Deputy Mayor Came from Kansai Electric


About 60 pct of sales in fiscal 2018 at a construction firm that provided funds to an influential late former deputy mayor of a nuclear plant host town at the center of a money scandal involving Kansai Electric Power Co. came from orders from the Kansai Electric group, informed sources said.
   The construction company, Yoshida Kaihatsu, based in the town of Takahama, Fukui Prefecture, central Japan, posted sales of some 6.5 billion yen in total from orders from the Kansai Electric group over the last five years, indicating close relations between them.
   Kansai Electric, based in Osaka, western Japan, has said that 20 of its executives, including President Shigeki Iwane and Chairman Makoto Yagi, received a total of 320 million yen's worth of cash and goods between 2011 and 2018 from Eiji Moriyama, former deputy mayor of Takahama, who died in March this year.
   According to Kansai Electric, Yoshida Kaihatsu posted overall sales of some 2.2 billion yen in fiscal 2018. Of them, some 250 million yen came from orders Kansai Electric directly placed, and some 1.06 billion yen came from orders the power supplier indirectly placed through general contractors.
   In fiscal 2014, Yoshida Kaihatsu had sales of some 50 million yen from direct orders from Kansai Electric and some 650 million yen from indirect orders.
