９月消費者物価、２．４％上昇　コメ４５％、４９年ぶり伸び―電気・ガス代は鈍化

　総務省が１８日発表した９月の全国消費者物価指数（２０２０年＝１００）は、価格変動の大きい生鮮食品を除く総合指数が１０８．２と、前年同月比２．４％上昇した。３７カ月連続で上昇したが、伸び率は５カ月ぶりに縮小した。米類が４４．７％上昇した一方、電気・ガス代は政府の補助金再開で伸びが鈍化した。
　米類は１９７５年９月（４９．５％）以来、４９年ぶりの高い伸びを記録した。猛暑で流通量が減った２３年産、生産コストなどの上昇が響いた２４年産ともに値上がりした。米類以外でも外食が２．７％上昇するなど、生鮮食品を除く食料は３．１％上昇と、２カ月連続でプラス幅が拡大した。
　政府はいったん終了していた電気・ガス代の補助金を８月使用分（９月請求分）から再開。この影響で、電気代の上昇率は１５．２％（８月は２６．２％）、都市ガス代は８．３％（同１５．１％）だった。前年に価格が上昇したガソリンは４．８％下落した。
　生鮮食品を除く全５２２品目中、上昇したのは３９４品目。８月は３８７品目で、５カ月ぶりに上昇品目が増加した。（2024/10/18-11:13）

Japan's core consumer prices in September climbed 2.4 pct from a year before as rice prices soared while price increases in electricity and city gas slowed thanks to the resumption of government subsidies, the internal affairs ministry said Friday.
   The core consumer price index, which excludes volatile fresh food prices, stood at 108.2 against the 2020 base of 100. It rose for the 37th straight month, but its pace of growth slowed for the first time in five months.
   Rice prices jumped 44.7 pct, the biggest increase since the 49.5 pct gain logged in September 1975. Prices for the 2023 crop rose due to sluggish supply amid the extremely hot summer weather and those for the 2024 crop also grew because of higher production costs.
   Prices for restaurant meals gained 2.7 pct. As a result, prices for food, excluding fresh food, rose 3.1 pct.
   The rise in electricity prices slowed to 15.2 pct from 26.2 pct in August, while the increase in city gas prices slowed to 8.3 pct from 15.1 pct. Gasoline prices fell 4.8 pct after a rise a year before.
