両陛下、障害者作品展を見学　航空宇宙博物館も―岐阜

　岐阜県を訪れた天皇、皇后両陛下は１５日、岐阜市内で全国障害者芸術・文化祭の展覧会を見学された。
　両陛下は絵画などの作品や、障害者が実際に制作している様子を熱心に見学。脳性小児まひによる身体障害があり、足に筆を付けて絵を描いている山田真己さん（５２）＝同県羽島市＝に天皇陛下は「どういう気持ちで描かれたんですか」と声を掛けていた。
　両陛下は続いて、岐阜かかみがはら航空宇宙博物館（同県各務原市）を視察。国際宇宙ステーション（ＩＳＳ）の実験棟「きぼう」の模型を案内した宇宙飛行士の山崎直子さんに、皇后さまは「滞在中、困られたことやご苦労なさったことは」と質問していた。（2024/10/15-21:04）

Japan Emperor, Empress Visit Exhibition of Artworks by Disabled

Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako on Tuesday visited an exhibition of the National Arts and Culture Festival for Persons with Disabilities in the city of Gifu, the capital of the namesake prefecture in central Japan.
   The Emperor and Empress looked at artworks such as paintings and watched people with disabilities create them.
   The Emperor asked Maki Yamada, 52, a woman with physical disabilities due to cerebral palsy, who paints with a brush attached to her foot, "What kind of feeling did you have when you were painting?"
   The Imperial couple arrived in Gifu on Monday. They attended the day's opening ceremony of the National Cultural Festival and the National Arts and Culture Festival for Persons with Disabilities.
