求人１．３１倍、２年連続上昇　失業率２．６％―２３年平均

　厚生労働省が３０日発表した２０２３年平均の有効求人倍率は、前年比０．０３ポイント上がり１．３１倍だった。上昇は２年連続。新型コロナの「５類」移行で経済活動が回復したほか、深刻な人手不足により、求人数が増えた。総務省が同日発表した労働力調査によると、２３年平均の完全失業率は前年から横ばいの２．６％だった。
　有効求人倍率は、仕事を探す求職者１人につき、何人分の求人があるかを示す。
　有効求人数は０．９％増加。物価高騰による収益悪化で求人を抑える企業もあったが、宿泊業や飲食サービス業を中心に人材確保の動きが続いた。
　有効求職者数は１．４％減少。賃上げ機運が高まる中、企業が労働条件を改善するとの期待などから、働きながら仕事を探す人が減った。
　完全失業者は、会社都合の離職が減った一方、自己都合は増加した。
　同時に発表された昨年１２月の有効求人倍率（季節調整値）は、前月比０．０１ポイント低下の１．２７倍。完全失業率（同）は０．１ポイント低下の２．４％だった。（2024/01/30-11:29）

The average ratio of effective job openings to seekers in Japan rose for the second straight year in 2023 as demand for labor grew following the removal of COVID-19 restrictions and amid serious workforce shortages, government data showed Tuesday.
   The ratio, which represents the number of jobs available to each applicant at public job placement offices across the country, rose 0.03 point from the previous year to 1.31, the labor ministry said.
   Separately, the internal affairs ministry said that the country's average jobless rate was 2.6 pct in 2023, unchanged from the previous year.
   The monthly number of effective job openings grew 0.9 pct on average. Companies in the hotel and restaurant industries hired more workers, while some businesses, struggling with soaring prices, curbed hiring.
   The monthly number of effective job seekers declined 1.4 pct as the number of people looking for new jobs while working fell amid expectations for better pay.
