桐島容疑者名乗る男が死亡　半世紀前に手配、身元特定急ぐ―７０年代連続企業爆破・警視庁

　１９７４～７５年の連続企業爆破事件の一つに関与したとして指名手配された過激派「東アジア反日武装戦線」のメンバー、桐島聡容疑者（７０）を名乗る男が２９日午前７時半すぎ、入院先の病院で死亡した。捜査関係者への取材で分かった。
　警視庁公安部はＤＮＡ型鑑定などを進めており、今後、本人と確認されれば、容疑者死亡のまま、爆発物取締罰則違反容疑での書類送検を視野に捜査を続ける。
　捜査関係者によると、男は末期がんを患っており、今月、神奈川県鎌倉市の病院に入院した。当初は別の名前を使っていたが重篤の状態が続き、死期を悟ると「最期は本名で迎えたい」と言って桐島聡を名乗った。
　公安部は２５日以降、任意で事情を聴いていたが、男は意識を失うこともあった。桐島容疑者の家族に関する詳しい情報を話し、身長などの身体的特徴も一致していたという。
　男は「内田洋」の偽名で約４０年間、同県藤沢市の工務店に住み込みで働いていたとみられる。入院時、健康保険証などの身分証明書は所持しておらず、詳しい生活実態などは分かっていない。
　桐島容疑者は広島県出身。明治学院大に進学後、大学の仲間ら３人で「さそり」と称するグループを結成し、有名企業を狙って爆弾闘争を続けていた東アジア反日武装戦線の活動に参加した。７５年４月の東京・銀座の韓国産業経済研究所爆破事件に関与したとして、同５月に指名手配された。
　同戦線は、８人が死亡した７４年８月の三菱重工業ビル爆破事件を皮切りに、約８カ月間で１２件の爆破事件を起こした。（2024/01/29-17:12）

A man who claimed to be a suspect involved in one of a series of bombings against companies in Japan in the 1970s died at a hospital Monday morning, investigative sources said.
   The Public Security Bureau of Tokyo's Metropolitan Police Department plans to send papers on the man, who identified himself as Satoshi Kirishima, to public prosecutors on suspicion of violating the explosives control law even after his death, if it confirms his identify through a DNA test or other methods.
   According to the sources, the man was suffering from terminal cancer and was admitted to the hospital in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, south of Tokyo, earlier this month.
   He is believed to have used a different name initially. But he confessed he was Satoshi Kirishima after he realized his death was imminent, saying he wanted to use his real name in his last days.
   He had been questioned by the Public Security Bureau since Thursday.
