新幹線利用８％減　新型肺炎で―ＪＲ東海

　ＪＲ東海は２０日、２月１日から１９日までの東海道新幹線の輸送人数が前年同期比８％減少したと発表した。前年に比べ休日の日並びが悪かったことに加え、新型肺炎拡大を受けて旅行を控える動きが出たため。
　土日祝日に限ると１１％減で、観光への影響はより大きかった。出張などビジネス利用が多い平日は７％減だった。
　ＪＲ東海グループが運営する駅ビルや商業施設などでも２月に入り売上高が平均１～２割程度落ちているという。（2020/02/20-17:53）

JR Tokai Logs 8 Pct Drop in Shinkansen Passengers

The number of passengers on the Tokaido Shinkansen Line between Feb. 1 and Wednesday declined 8 pct from a year earlier, according to Central Japan Railway Co. , or JR Tokai, which operates the bullet train line.
The decrease reflects low travel demand due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus and the lack of the three-day weekend seen last year.
