１月都内物価、１．６％上昇　２０カ月ぶり２％割れ、電気・ガス代下落

　総務省が２６日発表した１月の東京都区部消費者物価指数（中旬速報値、２０２０年＝１００）は、価格変動の大きい生鮮食品を除く総合指数が１０５．８と、前年同月比１．６％上昇した。２９カ月連続のプラスだが、伸び率は３カ月連続で縮小。２２年５月以来２０カ月ぶりに、日銀が物価目標としている２％を下回った。電気代や都市ガス代が低下したほか、食料の値上がりに一服感が見られ始めた。
　エネルギー価格は前年同月比２０．１％低下と、２３年１２月（１８．８％低下）から下げ幅が拡大。政府の負担軽減策の効果もあり、電気代は２２．２％、都市ガス代は２４．７％それぞれ低下した。（2024/01/26-11:32）

Core consumer prices in central Tokyo grew 1.6 pct from a year before in January, falling below the Bank of Japan's 2 pct inflation target for the first time since May 2022, government data showed Friday.
   The core consumer price index, which excludes often volatile fresh food prices, in Tokyo's densely populated 23 special wards stood at 105.8 against 100 for the base year of 2020, up for the 29th straight month, the internal affairs ministry said.
   The pace of growth shrank for the third straight month, due to slumping electricity and city gas bills and a slowdown in food price rises.
   Energy prices plunged 20.1 pct, even bigger than last month's drop of 18.8 pct. Electricity and city gas rates dived 22.2 pct and 24.7 pct, respectively, partly reflecting a government measure to ease burdens on households.
   Prices of food excluding fresh food were up 5.7 pct after growing 6.0 pct. Egg prices jumped 24.3 pct, and prices of cooked curry products soared 18.9 pct.
