トヨタ、中国生産再開　本格稼働になお時間―新型肺炎

　トヨタ自動車は１７日、新型肺炎の流行を受け操業を停止していた中国４カ所の完成車工場のうち、広東省広州市と吉林省長春市の２工場で生産を再開した。日系自動車メーカーでは同日、日産自動車やホンダ、マツダも中国工場を稼働させた。ただ、トヨタは部品の調達状況を把握するため、当面の生産規模を通常の半分程度に絞る。日産など他社も含め、本格稼働に戻すにはまだ時間がかかりそうだ。
　トヨタは１月下旬、春節（旧正月）連休入りに伴い中国４工場の稼働を停止した。当初は今月初旬から順次再開させる予定だったが、地方政府の指示に従い１０日以降にいったん延期。さらにサプライチェーン（部品供給網）への影響を見極めるため、１７日以降に再延期していた。１８日には天津市の工場も稼働させる。（2020/02/17-18:22）

Toyota, Other Japanese Automakers Reopen China Plants

Toyota Motor Corp. and other Japanese automakers on Monday resumed operations at their plants in China following suspensions in response to the outbreak of the new strain of coronavirus in the country.
Toyota restarted two of its four plants--one in Guangzhou in Guangdong Province and the other in Changchun in Jilin Province. But the level of production will be reduced to half of the normal levels for the time being as the company needs to check parts supply conditions.
