外食売上高１１．８％増　コロナ５類移行が追い風―５月

　日本フードサービス協会が２６日発表した５月の外食産業売上高（新店を含む全店ベース）は、前年同月比１１．８％増加した。大型連休中に帰省客やインバウンド（訪日客）の消費が好調だったほか、新型コロナウイルスの感染症法上の位置付けが同月８日に「５類」へ移行したことも追い風となった。コロナ禍前の１９年同月比でも７．６％増となった。（2023/06/26-16:55）

Restaurant sales in Japan in May jumped 11.8 pct from a year before, and were even 7.6 pct higher than in the same month in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic, industry data showed Monday.
The sales growth reflected robust spending by people returning to their hometowns during the Golden Week holiday period, as well as visitors from abroad.
