国民民主、予算案反対へ　自公との政策協議に影響も

　国民民主党は２４日の党会合で、２０２３年度予算案に反対する方針を決めた。賃上げや子育て対策が不十分と判断した。自民、公明両党と進める政策協議に影響する可能性もある。昨年は２２年度予算に賛成した。
　玉木雄一郎代表は記者団に「賃上げに資する内容か検討した結果、不十分だと一致した」と説明。「（国民民主が目指す）子ども予算の倍増が、予算の中身からも政権与党幹部からも感じられない」と語った。
　会合では、予算案への反対論が大半を占めた。４月の統一地方選を前に「与党に近い」とみられることへの懸念が党内で相次いでいた。「政治的に大きな判断をしていくべきだ」とした賛成論もあった。
　昨年、野党として異例となる予算賛成に踏み切ったのは、与党との協調関係を重視し、政策実現につなげるためだった。玉木氏は今後の党運営について「どうやって政策を実現していくのか、大変困難な道だと自覚している」と述べた。
　国民は今月、賃上げと少子化対策を巡る自公両党との政策協議を始めた。榛葉賀津也幹事長は記者団に「ぜひ継続してもらいたい」と求めた。
　自民党の遠藤利明総務会長は記者会見で、国民反対に「残念だ」とした上で「（今後も）政策推進に協力してもらえたらありがたい」と期待を示した。公明党の石井啓一幹事長は会見で「（３党協議は）引き続き行っていく」と明言した。ただ、予算案反対により、国民が与党の譲歩を引き出すのは難しくなりそうだ。
　一方、立憲民主党の泉健太代表は会見で「野党として協力する素地、基盤ができた」と歓迎した。（2023/02/24-16:40）

The Democratic Party for the People decided at a party meeting Friday to oppose the Japanese government's fiscal 2023 draft budget, with its leader suggesting that the party may shift from its pro-ruling party strategy.
   Yuichiro Tamaki, chief of the major Japanese opposition party, told reporters: "Will the draft budget contribute to pay hikes surpassing the pace of rises in prices? No, it's not enough." The draft budget for the year from April is now being debated by the Diet, Japan's parliament.
   Last year, the DPFP voted for the government's fiscal 2022 budget at the Diet in an unusual move for an opposition party. The party has taken a stance of prioritizing "kaiketsu," or solutions, over "taiketsu," or confrontations, cozying up to the ruling bloc, led by the Liberal Democratic Party, in order to achieve its own policy goals.
   Ahead of a string of local elections in April this year, however, some DPFP members have voiced concerns about giving an impression that the party is too close to the ruling coalition, which also includes Komeito.
   "There's a good chance that our existing approach won't work," Tamaki said, hinting at the possibility of changing his party's stance.
