ＳＤＧｓ推進は１割　自治体調査―内閣府

　国連が掲げる気候変動対策など１７項目の持続可能な開発目標（ＳＤＧｓ）の達成に向け取り組んでいる自治体は、全体の約１３％にとどまることが内閣府の調査で分かった。人口減少など自治体が抱える課題の解決は、ＳＤＧｓの考え方と一致しており、関心は高まっているが、実際に行動している自治体は少ないことを浮き彫りにした。
　内閣府は、具体的な取り組みを推進する自治体の割合について、２０２４年度までに６０％に引き上げることを目指しており、支援を強化していく。
　調査は、全国の都道府県と市区町村の１７８８団体を対象に、昨年１０月１日～１１月２９日にインターネットを通じて実施。全体の約６９％に当たる４６都道府県と１１９１市区町村の計１２３７団体から回答を得た。
　その結果、ＳＤＧｓ達成に向けた取り組みを「推進している」と答えたのは２４１団体。取り組みとしては、自治体内部の勉強会や地域住民向けのセミナーの開催の他、自治体版の地方創生総合戦略や環境基本計画への反映などが多く挙がった。
　一方、ＳＤＧｓに関心があると答えたのは約５８％に当たる１０４４団体に上った。ただ内閣府は、実際の行動につながっていない現状などを受け、「具体的にどういったことをしていいのか分からない自治体が多い」と分析。ＳＤＧｓ達成に向け、先進的な取り組みを進める「ＳＤＧｓ未来都市」として、今後５年間で新たに１５０都市を選定して後押しするなど、関連施策を進める。（2020/01/22-07:14）

Only about 13 pct of local governments in Japan are working to achieve the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals in areas such as the fight against climate change, a Cabinet Office survey showed.
   Some 58 pct of local governments are interested in the SDGs, according to the survey, indicating that only few of them are taking concrete steps.
   The Cabinet Office thinks that despite the high level of interest, many local governments are not taking actual steps because they do not know what to do.
   The government agency aims to raise the percentage of local governments working to achieve the SDGs to 60 pct by fiscal 2024, which ends in March 2025.
   As part of the effort, the Cabinet Office will newly designate 150 cities over the next five years to support their efforts to achieve the SDGs.
