岸田首相がコロナ感染　アフリカ中東訪問見送り

　政府は２１日、岸田文雄首相が新型コロナウイルスに感染したと発表した。現職首相の感染が確認されたのは初めて。首相周辺によると、症状は軽く、首相公邸で療養している。今月下旬に予定していたアフリカ・中東歴訪は見送る。チュニジアで開かれる第８回アフリカ開発会議（ＴＩＣＡＤ８）にはオンラインで参加する見通しだ。
　首相は２０日夜から微熱やせきなどの症状が出たため、２１日午前１０時に公邸でＰＣＲ検査を受け、同日午後４時に陽性と判明した。症状は同日夜時点で、せきが出る程度だという。
　首相は２７～２８日にアフリカのチュニジアで開かれるＴＩＣＡＤ８に出席し、その後、中東のカタールとアラブ首長国連邦（ＵＡＥ）を訪問する方向で最終調整していた。３０日まで公邸で療養しつつオンラインで公務を行う考えだ。
　首相は１５日の公務を終えた後、夏休みに入った。１７～１９日に静岡県で家族と静養し、２２日に復帰する予定だった。家族は陰性という。首相は１２日に４回目の新型コロナワクチンを接種していた。（2022/08/21-20:03）

Kishida Tests Positive for COVID-19

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, the government said.
   He will forgo his visits to Tunisia and the Middle East that were planned later this month.
   The prime minister developed a mild fever and a cough from Saturday evening and received a polymerase chain reaction test on Sunday morning. The positive result came out at around 4 p.m. (7 a.m. GMT).
   Kishida became the first incumbent Japanese prime minister to get infected with the novel coronavirus.
   He was scheduled to attend the eighth summit of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development to be held in Tunisia for two days from Saturday and then visit Middle Eastern countries.
