国内感染、２３万１４９９人感染　６日ぶり２０万人超―新型コロナ

　国内では１７日、新たに２３万１４９９人の新型コロナウイルス感染が確認された。１日当たりの新規感染者は前週の水曜日と比べ１万８８５３人減少したが、愛知、鹿児島など１５県で過去最多を更新し、６日ぶりに２０万人を超えた。新たな死者は２８６人。
　厚生労働省によると、全国の重症者は前日比１３人増の６２７人だった。
　東京都では新たに２万９４１６人の新型コロナウイルス感染を確認。前週水曜日から４８２７人減った。新たに確認された死者は２５人。
　都によると、新規感染者の直近１週間平均は２万４８８９・０人で前週比８２・３％。都基準による重症者は３５人で前日から１人減った。
　都は１７日から、都外からの検体持ち込みや他県からの委託分を除いた新規感染者数も公表。この日は２万６６３４人だった。（2022/08/17-19:13）

Tokyo's New COVID-19 Cases Down by 4,800

Tokyo reported 29,416 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, down by 4,827 from a week before.
   There were 25 new fatalities linked to COVID-19 in the Japanese capital. The number of severely ill coronavirus patients under the Tokyo metropolitan government's criteria fell by one from Tuesday to 35.
   The seven-day average of new infection cases in Tokyo shrank 17.7 pct from a week before to 24,889.
   On Wednesday, the metropolitan government began releasing the number of daily new positive cases excluding those based on specimens brought from outside Tokyo and those handled in Tokyo on commission from institutions in other prefectures. The day's number stood at 26,634.
