女性議員数「不十分」８割超　参画意識に男女差―衆院アンケート

　衆院は、全議員を対象とするジェンダー意識に関する初のアンケート結果をまとめた。国会における女性議員の数について、８割超が不十分と考えている一方、女性の政治参画をめぐる男性議員の意識の低さも浮き彫りとなった。
　調査は４月２８日から５月１７日の間、衆院の男性議員４１９人、女性議員４６人の計４６５人にメールで実施。８２．２％に当たる３８２人から回答を得た。
　女性議員の数を「不十分」と考えているのは、「どちらかと言えば」を含めて８２．７％。「十分」の回答はゼロだった。ただ、「不十分」とした割合は、女性が８４．６％だったのに対し、男性は５６．７％にとどまった。
　女性の政治参画をめぐり、拡大が妨げられていると「思う」の割合は、「どちらかと言えば」を合わせて女性が７１．８％、男性は４５．４％だった。理由には「議員間や有権者からのハラスメント」「妊娠・出産・子育てと議会活動との両立支援が不十分」などが並んだ。
　女性議員を確保するための制度が「必要」と答えたのは、「どちらかと言えば」を含めて女性が７１．８％、男性が４７％。候補者の一定割合を女性にする「クオータ制」導入を求める声が目立った。
　自由記述では「女性のリーダーが出てきたらジェンダー平等も進む」「男女の数を同数にするという考え方こそが男女の差を助長している」などの意見があった。（2022/06/13-15:08）

A Japanese survey has found that 82.7 pct of responding House of Representatives members think that the Diet, the country's parliament, does not have enough female members.
   The lower chamber conducted the survey on gender awareness covering all its members for the first time. The survey results also highlighted a low level of awareness among male politicians about women's participation in politics.
   The survey was conducted via email from April 28 to May 17, covering the 419 male members and 46 female members of the 465-seat chamber. Responses came from 382 members, or 82.2 pct of the total.
   According to the survey, 82.7 pct of all respondents said that the number of female Diet members is insufficient or somewhat insufficient. No respondent said the number is sufficient.
   Of female respondents, 84.6 pct recognized insufficiency, while the share was only 56.7 pct for male respondents.
