力による現状変更に反対　情報保護協定の交渉開始―日ＮＺ首脳

　岸田文雄首相は２１日、ニュージーランドのアーダーン首相と首相官邸で会談した。両首脳はウクライナ侵略を続けるロシアを強く非難するとともに、中国を念頭に東・南シナ海でも力による現状変更を認めないとの考えで一致した。
　ニュージーランドが位置する南太平洋では、中国がソロモン諸島と安全保障協定を締結したことで安保環境の変化への懸念が強まっている。岸田首相は会談後の共同記者発表で「日本とニュージーランドは東シナ海、南シナ海を含め、いかなる地域でもこうした（現状変更の）試みに強く反対する」と強調した。
　両首脳は「自由で開かれたインド太平洋」の実現に向けた協力も確認。経済的威圧や不公正な貿易慣行を許容しないことや、両国が太平洋島しょ国との協力を強化することでも一致した。情報保護協定の締結交渉を開始することでも合意した。（2022/04/21-22:30）

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his visiting New Zealand counterpart, Jacinda Ardern, agreed Thursday to never tolerate the use of force to change the status quo in the East China Sea and the South China Sea, with China in mind.
   The two leaders also condemned Russia's continued invasion of Ukraine.
   Their meeting was held in Tokyo amid growing concerns over a possible change in the security environment in the South Pacific after the Solomon Islands said in late March that it has reached a basic agreement on a security pact with China.
   At a joint press conference following the meeting, Kishida stressed, "Japan and New Zealand strongly oppose such attempts (to change the status quo) in any region, including the East China Sea and the South China Sea."
   Kishida and Ardern also affirmed their countries' cooperation to realize a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
