政府、欧州に異例のガス融通へ　ウクライナ侵攻備え

　政府は日本が輸入する液化天然ガス（ＬＮＧ）の一部を欧州に融通する方針を固めた。９日にも公表する。ロシアがウクライナに侵攻して天然ガスの欧州向け供給が途絶える事態に備える。米国からの打診を受けた異例の措置。国内に発電用などの必要な在庫を一定量確保した上で、ＬＮＧの権益を保有する企業などに協力を求める。
　欧州が消費する天然ガスの多くは、パイプラインなどを通じロシアから供給されている。ロシアがウクライナに侵攻すれば、米欧はロシアへの経済制裁に踏み切る構え。ロシアが対抗措置として欧州へのガス供給を止める恐れがある。（2022/02/09-10:52）

Japan to Provide Europe with LNG amid Ukraine Tensions

The Japanese government plans to divert part of its imported liquefied national gas to Europe in preparation for a cutoff of natural gas flows to the region in the event of Russia's possible invasion of Ukraine, informed sources said Wednesday.
   The Japanese government is expected to announce the plan as early as later the same day.
   It is an unusual measure to be taken in response to a request from the United States.
   The government will first secure sufficient LNG inventories needed for power generation and other domestic purposes and ask companies with LNG interests for cooperation.
   Natural gas used in Europe is mostly supplied from Russia, chiefly via pipelines.
