国内死者１５９人　新規感染９．２万人―新型コロナ

　国内では８日、新型コロナウイルスに感染した死者が新たに１５９人確認された。昨年５月１８日（２１６人）には神戸市が公表の遅れていた１２１人をまとめて発表しており、同日を除くと１日当たり過去最多となる。
　８日の新規感染者は９万２０７８人。３日連続で１０万人を下回ったが、前週火曜日と比べると１万人以上増えた。重症者は前日比２人減の１１４１人だった。
　東京都の新規感染者は１万７１１３人で、前週火曜日から２６６８人増え、火曜日としては過去最多を更新した。１日当たり１万人を超えたのは１５日連続。都基準の重症者は前日から３人増の５１人だった。
　都道府県別の死者は大阪（２９人）、神奈川・福岡（各１４人）、兵庫（１３人）、東京（１１人）の順に多かった。新規感染者は静岡（２０６８人）、滋賀（１３８９人）、奈良（１１８８人）、大分（５２３人）各県で過去最多を更新した。（2022/02/08-19:47）

Tokyo reported 17,113 new cases of novel coronavirus infection on Tuesday, the highest tally for the day of the week and up by 2,668 from a week before.
The daily infection count in the Japanese capital topped 10,000 for the 15th straight day, while the number of patients with severe COVID-19 symptoms under Tokyo's own criteria rose by three from Monday to 51.
Eleven new deaths were confirmed among COVID-19 patients.
