宮内庁長官に西村氏　山本氏は勇退へ

　宮内庁は１０日、山本信一郎長官（６９）が１７日付で勇退し、後任に西村泰彦次長（６４）が昇格する人事を発表した。新しい次長には総務省出身の池田憲治氏（５８）が就任する。
　西村氏は東京大法卒で、１９７９年に警察庁入り。同庁警備局長や警視総監、内閣危機管理監などを歴任し、２０１６年９月に宮内庁次長に就任した。三重県出身。

　山本氏は京都大法卒。７３年自治省（現総務省）に入り、内閣府事務次官などを経て１２年６月に宮内庁次長、１６年９月に長官に就任した。同年８月には上皇さま（当時の天皇陛下）が退位の意向を示唆するビデオメッセージを発表されており、長官として代替わりの儀式挙行の陣頭指揮を執った。福井県出身。（2019/12/10-12:32）

The cabinet of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe decided Tuesday to appoint Yasuhiko Nishimura, vice grand steward of the Imperial Household Agency, as its grand steward.
   Nishimura, 64, will succeed Shinichiro Yamamoto, 69, as leader of the agency. Kenji Ikeda, 58, who has worked at the Internal Affairs and Communications Ministry, will take the post of deputy head at the agency.
   The appointments will take effect on Dec. 17.
   Nishimura joined the National Police Agency in 1979 after graduating from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo. He took up the current position in September 2016 after serving in posts including head of the NPA's Security Bureau, superintendent-general of Tokyo's Metropolitan Police Department and deputy chief cabinet secretary for crisis management.
   Yamamoto, a graduate of Kyoto University's Faculty of Law, entered the now-defunct Home Affairs Ministry, now the internal affairs ministry, in 1973. After serving as vice minister at the Cabinet Office, he became Imperial Household Agency vice grand steward in June 2012 and grand steward in September 2016.
