秋元議員の元秘書宅捜索　現金不正持ち込みの関係先―外為法違反容疑・東京地検

　自民党の衆院議員、秋元司・元環境兼内閣府副大臣（４８）の元公設秘書ら２人の自宅を東京地検特捜部が外為法違反の疑いで家宅捜索したことが９日、関係者への取材で分かった。２人は海外から不正に持ち込まれた現金について、何らかの事情を知っている可能性があり、特捜部は押収資料を分析し、現金の流れの解明を進めるもようだ。
　関係者によると、現金は税関への届け出がされないまま、国内に持ち込まれた疑いがあるという。
　元公設秘書は１０年以上にわたり、秋元議員の下で勤務。政策秘書も務めた「事務所の金庫番」的存在で、秋元議員の「右腕」となって議員を支えてきたという。
　元公設秘書は秋元議員が落選中だった２０１１年に東京都内に芸能関連の会社を設立。代表取締役に就いた。同社の後任の代表も秋元議員の元秘書で、議員は一時、同社の顧問に就任し、顧問料を得ていた。
　秋元議員は９日、記者団の取材に対し、元公設秘書が設立した会社について、「経営に口出しもしていないが、仕事はやるべきことはやっていると聞いている」などと説明。顧問に就いたのは落選中で、「私に対し、やましいお金の移動もない」などと語った。元公設秘書と最後に連絡を取ったのは、今年の夏ごろという。（2019/12/09-23:55）

Tokyo prosecutors have raided the houses of two people, including a former secretary to House of Representatives lawmaker Tsukasa Akimoto of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, on suspicion of involvement in cash smuggling, according to informed sources.
   The two are believed to have some kind of information about the cash that was allegedly brought into Japan from abroad without being reported to the customs, in violation of the foreign exchange and foreign trade act, the sources said Monday.
   The special squad of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office will try to shed light on the flow of the money through documents collected through the house searches.
   The former government-paid secretary worked for Akimoto, 48, for over 10 years, supporting the current Lower House lawmaker as his right hand and safe keeper of his office, the sources said.
   The secretary set up an entertainment company in Tokyo in 2011, the year after Akimoto lost his seat in the House of Councillors, the upper parliamentary chamber, and became the firm's representative director. The post was succeeded by another former secretary to Akimoto, who himself once took the position of adviser at the firm and received advisory fees.
