感染２日連続８０００人超　沖縄１５３３人、東京１２２３人―新型コロナ

　国内では９日、新たに８２４９人の新型コロナウイルス感染が確認され、１日当たりの新規感染者は２日連続で８０００人を上回った。死者は大阪府の１人、全国の重症者は前日比１人増の９０人となった。
　沖縄県で１５３３人の感染が確認され、２日続けて１５００人を超えた。広島県でも過去最多となる６１９人の感染が判明した。
　このほか新規感染者は東京都１２２３人、大阪府８８０人、神奈川県４４３人、埼玉県４０１人など。都内の陽性者は２日連続で１０００人を超え、前週日曜日（８４人）の約１４倍に増加した。青森県では、オミクロン株の初の市中感染疑い例が確認された。（2022/01/09-20:47）

Tokyo Confirms 1,223 New Coronavirus Cases

A total of 1,223 new cases of novel coronavirus infection were confirmed in Tokyo on Sunday, the metropolitan government said the same day.
   The daily count in the Japanese capital exceeded 1,000 for the second straight day and was about 14 times the week-before level.
   No new death was found among COVID-19 patients.
   According to the metropolitan government, people in their 20s accounted for 504, or about 40 pct, of all new infection cases.
   The number of patients with severe symptoms counted under the metropolitan government's criteria stood at four, unchanged from the previous day.
