自宅に「京アニ」事件記事　手口模倣か、死亡２５人に―大阪ビル火災・府警

　大阪市北区の雑居ビルで起きた放火殺人事件で、火元のクリニックの患者、谷本盛雄容疑者（６１）が住んでいたとされる住宅から、２０１９年に３６人が亡くなった「京都アニメーション」放火殺人事件などに関する新聞記事が見つかったことが２１日、捜査関係者への取材で分かった。
　自宅から「消火栓を塗る」などと書かれたメモが押収されていたことも判明。大阪府警天満署捜査本部は、谷本容疑者が京アニ事件などに関心を寄せ、ガソリンを使う手口を模倣した疑いもあるとみて調べている。
　府警は同日、新たに２０代とみられる女性１人の死亡が確認されたと発表した。死者は計２５人となった。
　捜査関係者によると、谷本容疑者が住んでいたとみられる３階建て住宅（同市西淀川区）では、ビル火災の３０分前にぼやが発生し、ガソリンが燃えた成分が検出された。火元の近くから京アニ事件の発生から２年を報じる今年７月の新聞記事や、３月に徳島市でアイドルグループのライブ会場が狙われた放火事件などの記事が見つかった。「消火栓を塗る」「放火殺人」などと書かれたメモも発見された。（2021/12/21-13:14）

A newspaper reporting on the July 2019 deadly arson attack on a studio of Kyoto Animation Co. has been found from a home where the suspect of Friday's arson attack on a building in the city of Osaka, western Japan, was believed to have been living, it was learned Tuesday.
   The Osaka prefectural police department believes that the suspect, Morio Tanimoto, 61, had a strong interest in the attack on the studio of the anime production company, known as KyoAni, which left 36 people dead, investigative sources said. The police also suspect that Tanimoto, for the Osaka building attack, may have copied the idea of using gasoline from the arson on the KyoAni studio in the city of Kyoto, also western Japan.
   In the fire at the Osaka building, a woman apparently in her 20s has been confirmed dead, bringing the death toll in the incident to 25. Twenty-four of the victims have been confirmed to have died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Tanimoto remains in critical condition.
   Tanimoto allegedly started a fire at a mental health clinic on the fourth floor of the eight-story building in Kita Ward in the Osaka Prefecture capital. The fire burned an area of about 25 square meters on the fourth floor.
   About 30 minutes before the building fire, a minor fire occurred at the three-story housing in the city's Nishiyodogawa Ward, where Tanimoto, a patient of the clinic, is believed to have lived, according to the sources.
