ユニクロのベトナム１号店、６日開店　欧米勢と激しい競争へ

　【ホーチミン時事】ファーストリテイリングは６日、ベトナムで初となるユニクロの店舗を南部ホーチミン市の中心街にオープンさせる。ユニクロはこれまで、同国を生産拠点と位置付けてきた。今後は、７％前後の高い経済成長を背景に所得が向上している同国の消費者に狙いを定め、ビジネスの拡大を目指す。
　ベトナム１号店「ドンコイ店」の向かいのビルには、スウェーデンのＨ＆Ｍ、スペインのザラ、米国のギャップといった若者らをターゲットにした欧米のファストファッション大手が店舗を構える。ユニクロとの間で、激しい競争を繰り広げることになりそうだ。

　柳井正会長兼社長は５日の記者会見で、「日本が戦後に急成長したようなことがベトナムでも起こり得る」と語り、市場拡大への強い期待を示した。ベトナムでの店舗展開をめぐっては、「１００店舗はいく」と述べ、北部の首都ハノイへの早期出店にも意欲をにじませた。
　ドンコイ店は、売り場面積が３１００平方メートル強で、東南アジアではマニラの店舗に続く２番目の規模。３フロアに豊富な商品をそろえ、デザインＴシャツや機能性肌着のヒートテック、ダウンジャケットまで幅広い日本品質のファッションをアピールする。（2019/12/05-20:50）

Japan's Fast Retailing Co. will open the first Uniqlo clothing store in downtown Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on Friday.
   Fast Retailing aims to lure consumers enjoying income growth in Vietnam, whose economy is growing around 7 pct annually. Previously, the company regarded the Southeast Asian country only as a production center.
   The Uniqlo Dong Khoi store has three levels with total floor space of around 3,100 square meters. The company hopes to highlight the quality of Japanese apparel with a wide range of products.
   Near the new store, there are outlets of rival international apparel chains popular with young people, such as H&M, Zara and Gap.
   Uniqlo's move is expected to stiffen industry competition further.
