ＡＳＥＡＮ支援に３３００億円　中国念頭、民間資金を活用―茂木外相

　茂木敏充外相は２日、東京都内で講演し、２０２０～２２年の３年間で東南アジア諸国連合（ＡＳＥＡＮ）各国のインフラ開発などに民間資金を含め３０億ドル（約３３００億円）規模の投融資を行う方針を表明した。ＡＳＥＡＮへの影響力を強める中国を念頭に、民間活力を生かす形で支援を強化し、存在感を示す狙いだ。
　茂木氏は「自由で公正な経済発展を目指す日本の姿勢の表れだ」と強調した。対象は(1)電力などインフラ整備(2)女性経営者や中小企業支援(3)再生可能エネルギー事業―の３分野。３０億ドルのうち１２億ドルは国際協力機構（ＪＩＣＡ）の出資と融資で、残りは民間の金融機関などが担う。（2019/12/02-16:03）

Japan plans to provide Southeast Asia with 3 billion dollars in economic aid over the three years from 2020, Foreign Minister Toshimistu Motegi said Monday.
   The economic assistance is designed to help Japan counter China's growing influence in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
   The aid highlights "Japan's policy of providing new economic options and working to achieve free and fair economic development throughout the ASEAN region," Motegi said in a speech in Tokyo.
   Specifically, the aid will cover three fields--electricity and other infrastructure development, support for female entrepreneurs as well as small and midsize businesses, and renewable energy projects.
   The sum includes 1.2 billion dollars in loans and investments by the Japan International Cooperation Agency. The rest will be financed by private-sector banks.
