今治造船とＪＭＵが提携　韓中に対抗、競争力強化

　造船で国内首位の今治造船（愛媛県今治市）と同２位のジャパンマリンユナイテッド（横浜市、ＪＭＵ）は２９日、資本・業務提携で基本合意したと発表した。商船分野の国際競争力を強化し、韓国と中国で相次ぐ造船業の巨大再編に対抗するのが狙い。提携の具体的な内容を詰め、２０１９年度内の最終合意を目指す。
　両社は「それぞれの経営の独立性を担保しながら提携を進める」と説明。経営統合には踏み込まず、広範囲で協業を進め、世界的な競争に挑む。（2019/11/29-20:45）

Imabari Shipbuilding Co. and Japan Marine United Corp., Japan's largest and second-largest shipbuilders, said Friday that they have reached a basic agreement on capital and business tie-ups.
With the alliance, the shipbuilders aim to strengthen their international competiveness at a time when South Korean and Chinese rivals are going through major realignment to grow stronger.
