着服の元幹部が「不適切会計」　過去決算を調査―ＪＤＩ

　経営再建中の中小型液晶大手ジャパンディスプレイ（ＪＤＩ）は２７日、会社の資金を着服していた経理部門の元幹部社員が「過年度決算で不適切な会計処理を行っていた」と主張していると発表した。２６日にメールで連絡があり、「経営陣からの指示があった」と指摘しているという。同社は監査法人と連携し、事実関係の調査を始めた。外部の専門家による調査も行う方針だ。
　元幹部は約５億７８００万円を着服したとして、昨年１２月に懲戒解雇された。ＪＤＩは元幹部を刑事告訴しており、主張の真偽は現時点では不明。少なくとも２０１４年からの着服期間と重なる過去５年分の調査が必要とみられる。元幹部は同社へのメールの中で、不適切会計に関し、着服問題とは別だという趣旨の内容も記しているという。（2019/11/27-22:25）

Ex-Exec Points to Accounting Fraud at JDI

A former financial executive of Japan Display Inc. , or JDI, has claimed that the ailing company was engaged in an accounting fraud in the past.
In an email sent to JDI on Tuesday, the executive, who was fired in December last year for embezzling about 578 million yen from the Japanese liquid crystal display panel maker, said the fraud was directed by then top management, the company said Wednesday.
