日中韓「世界に貢献」　海洋プラ、温暖化で協力―環境相会合

　北九州市で開かれた日中韓３カ国環境相会合は２４日、海洋プラスチックごみや地球温暖化をはじめとした環境対策に関する知見を、東南アジアや２０カ国・地域（Ｇ２０）など世界各国に広めることで一致した。３カ国の協力関係を深めるため、２０２０～２４年を期間とする共通の行動計画策定を目指すとした共同声明を採択し、閉幕した。
　会合後の会見で、小泉進次郎環境相は日中韓の枠組みについて「東アジアの隣国であるだけでなく、世界の環境分野で大きな役割を担う存在となった」と強調。その上で「３カ国で問題の解決に取り組むだけでなく、世界に貢献したい」と話し、地球規模の環境対策をけん引する姿勢を示した。
　会合では、２０年からの行動計画で優先的に取り組む課題として、海洋プラを含めたごみ問題や気候変動などの８分野を決めた。海洋プラについては、これまで別々に話し合ってきた陸上、海洋それぞれの対策を一体的に検討することで合意。日本国内で定着の恐れが強まっている強毒の特定外来生物「ヒアリ」は、引き続き情報交換することを確認した。（2019/11/24-17:19）

Environment ministers from Japan, China and South Korea agreed on Sunday to promote the three countries' expertise to help the world tackle environmental issues such as marine plastic waste.
   The ministers, meeting in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, also agreed to compile a common action plan for the five years through 2024 to enhance the three countries' cooperation in the environment field.
   The action plan will focus on eight areas, including marine plastic and other waste as well as climate change.
   The three East Asian neighbors "have become countries that play a significant role in protecting the global environment," Japanese Environment Minister Shinjiro Koizumi said at a press conference after the meeting.
   "The countries are determined not only to resolve their own problems together but to contribute to the world," Koizumi said.
