１０月の訪日客５．５％減　震災以来の下げ幅―韓国６割減、台風も影響

　日本政府観光局が２０日発表した１０月の訪日外国人数（推計値）は前年同月比５．５％減の２４９万６６００人と、２カ月ぶりに減少に転じた。下げ幅は東日本大震災の影響が残る２０１２年２月（１９．６％減）以来の大きさ。対日関係の悪化が続く中、韓国人客は６割を超える大幅減を記録し、東日本を襲った台風１９号による航空便の欠航も響いた結果、ラグビー・ワールドカップ（Ｗ杯）の集客で補い切れなかった。
　内訳を見ると、韓国は６５．５％減（前月５８．１％減）の１９万７３００人とマイナス幅が拡大。７月まで中国に次ぎ２位だったが、訪日旅行を控える動きは続いており、日韓航空路線の減便も大きく響いた。中国が２．１％増（同２５．５％増）に減速したほか、台湾や香港も台風による航空便欠航の影響が見られた。

　田端浩観光庁長官は「一部旅行を延期する動きはあった」と影響を認めながらも、自然災害による訪日客減少は一時的にとどまるとの見方を示した。（2019/11/20-19:06）

The estimated number of South Korean visitors to Japan in October dropped 65.5 pct from a year before to 197,300, the Japan National Tourism Organization said Wednesday.
   The plunge is believed to have reflected the deterioration in the relationship between Japan and South Korea over wartime labor and other issues.
   The overall number of visitors to Japan fell back, by 5.5 pct to an estimated 2,496,600, according to the preliminary October report. The decline came also because powerful Typhoon Hagibis, which mainly hit central and eastern Japan in mid-October, kept foreigners from traveling to the country.
   Visitors from mainland China increased by a scant 2.1 pct to 730,600, following 25.5 pct growth in September.
   In the first 10 months of this year, the number of visitors to Japan came to 26,914,400, up 3.1 from a year before, the JNTO said.
