「鬼滅」制作社長を在宅起訴　１億３７００万円脱税―東京地検

　法人税など計約１億３７００万円を脱税したとして、東京地検特捜部は９日、法人税法違反などの罪で、アニメ制作会社「ユーフォーテーブル」（東京都中野区）の近藤光社長（５１）を在宅起訴し、法人としての同社を起訴した。同社は人気アニメ「鬼滅の刃」などを制作していた。地検は認否を明らかにしていない。
　起訴状などによると、ユー社は東京と大阪で経営するカフェ４店舗の売り上げを、データや帳簿を改ざんして少なく見せ掛け、２０１５年８月期、１７年８月期、１８年８月期の３年間に計約４億４１００万円の所得を隠し、法人税約１億９００万円と消費税約２８００万円を脱税したとされる。
　東京国税局が１９年に強制調査（査察）。昨年、地検に告発していた。
　ホームページによると、ユー社は「鬼滅の刃」のほか、「テイルズ　オブ」シリーズ、「Ｆａｔｅ」シリーズといった人気アニメを手掛けている。
　近藤社長は代理人を通じ、「ファンの皆さまをはじめ、関係者におわびする。法令を順守し、経営の適正化に努める」とのコメントを出した。（2021/07/09-18:41）

Tokyo public prosecutors on Friday filed charges against a Japanese anime studio known for producing the "Demon Slayer" series and its president for invading a total of 137 million yen in tax.
   Hikaru Kondo, president of Ufotable Inc., was indicted without arrest, while the Tokyo studio was indicted.
   Ufotable was charged with evading some 109 million yen in corporate tax and some 28 million yen in consumption tax in the year ended in August 2015 and the two years through August 2018.
   The studio allegedly hid a total of 441 million yen in income during the periods by understating sales at a total of four cafes it operates in Tokyo and the western city of Osaka.
   The Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau raided Ufotable in 2019 and filed a complaint against the studio with the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office last year.
