４月売上高、前年の３～４倍　コロナ前比では苦境続く―大手百貨店

　大手百貨店４社が６日発表した４月の既存店売上高（速報）は、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大で臨時休業を余儀なくされた前年同月に比べ、約３～４倍となった。ただ、コロナ前の２０１９年４月に比べると各社とも約２～３割減少しており、苦境が続いている。
　前年同月比の増加幅は、三越伊勢丹ホールディングスが４倍、そごう・西武が３．９倍、大丸と松坂屋を傘下に持つＪ・フロントリテイリングが３．１倍、高島屋が２．９倍だった。（2021/05/06-19:06）

Sales at Japanese Department Stores Spike in April

Same-store sales at four major Japanese department store operators jumped up to about fourfold from a year earlier in April, according to their preliminary data released Thursday.
The spike came after sales in April 2020 slumped as the companies were forced to temporarily close outlets amid the novel coronavirus epidemic, which led the government to declare a state of emergency, first for Tokyo and some other prefectures and then for all of the remaining prefectures as well later.
