ワクチン、国内分「９月までに」 菅首相、ファイザーＣＥＯに供給要請
【ワシントン時事】菅義偉首相は１７日午前（日本時間同日夜）、訪問先の米ワシントンで米製薬大手ファイザー社のブーラ最高経営責任者（ＣＥＯ）と電話会談し、新型コロナウイルスワクチンについて「（日本の）全ての対象者に今年９月までの確実な供給」を要請した。ブーラ氏は「日本へのワクチンの確実かつ迅速な供給に向けた協議を進める」と応じた。（2021/04/17-23:35）

Suga Asks Pfizer to Surely Supply Vaccines to Japan by Sept.
Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga on Saturday asked U.S. drugmaker Pfizer Inc. to surely supply coronavirus vaccines for all of those subject to Japan's vaccination program by September this year.
The prime minister made the request during a telephone conference in Washington with Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla.
The CEO said Pfizer will proceed with discussions for surely and swiftly supplying the vaccines to Japan.
Suga is visiting Washington for talks with U.S. President Joe Biden, which were held on Friday.
With Japan lagging behind many other countries in COVID-19 vaccinations, the prime minister embarked on securing the required number of vaccines.
