ぴあ、実店舗の販売終了へ　コロナ影響で３７年の歴史に幕

　チケット販売大手のぴあは９日、３７年間続いた実店舗での対面販売を６月末で終えると発表した。全７７店舗を閉鎖し、インターネットサイトやコンビニエンスストア端末での販売に専念する。販売の主力がネットに移る中、新型コロナウイルスの流行でコンサートや演劇などが自粛に追い込まれたことが響いた。
　閉鎖するのは、「ぴあステーション」と「チケットぴあスポット」。店頭販売は１９８４年に始まり、９９年のピーク時には約６００店舗に上った。
　その後ネット販売が伸びるにつれて、店舗数はコロナ禍前までに約１００店まで減少。２０１９年度の対面販売での売り上げはチケット販売事業の３％に、コロナでイベント自粛が広がった２０年度は１％未満に落ち込んでいた。（2021/04/09-21:02）

Japan's Pia to End Counter Ticket Sales after 37 Years

Japanese ticketing agency Pia Corp. will end the over-the-counter sales at its physical stores June 30 after 37 years of operation.
With ticket sales shifting to online platforms, the decision was also made after concerts, plays and other forms of art performances were hit hard by the spread of the novel coronavirus.
