ＥＶ駐車が終日無料　１０国立公園、４月から順次―環境省

　環境省は、全国１０の国立公園で、電気自動車（ＥＶ）と燃料電池車（ＦＣＶ）の駐車料金を終日無料にする取り組みを始める。地球温暖化対策のため、温室効果ガスを排出しないＥＶなどを優遇し、普及につなげる狙い。４月１日から５月１日にかけて順次開始する。通常、国立公園の駐車料金は乗用車の場合で５００円前後という。
　小泉進次郎環境相は「国立公園など環境省の施設を通じ、持続可能な観光地づくりを推進するとともに、脱炭素型のライフスタイルを感じてほしい」と話している。
　無料化は、阿寒摩周▽支笏洞爺▽十和田八幡平▽磐梯朝日▽日光▽山陰海岸▽瀬戸内海▽雲仙天草▽阿蘇くじゅう▽霧島錦江湾―の１０国立公園にある計１４カ所の駐車場で終日実施。これ以外にも、環境省が管理する新宿御苑は２時間（６００円まで）、京都御苑の中立売駐車場は３時間（８００円まで）を無料とする。
　具体的には、駐車場の受付にＥＶ・ＦＣＶの車種の一覧を用意し、担当者が該当することを確認して料金を無料にする。入り口の案内表示で、ＥＶ・ＦＣＶであれば無料であることを周知する。
　環境省は２０２１年度から国立公園などの駐車場にＥＶ用の充電設備の整備も始める。都市から離れた場所にある国立公園にも、充電の心配をせず安心して来られるように環境を整える。（2021/03/29-19:02）

The Japanese Environment Ministry will start waiving full-day parking charges for electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles at 14 parking lots of 10 national parks in the country.
   The measure, intended for promoting the spread of EVs and FCVs that do not emit greenhouse gases as part of efforts to tackle global warming, will begin in stages over a period between Thursday and May 1.
   Parking lots at national parks usually charge around 500 yen for passenger cars for full-day parking.
   "We will promote the development of sustainable tourist resorts through national parks and other Environment Ministry-related facilities," Environment Minister Shinjiro Koizumi said. "We hope people can feel what it is like to lead carbon-free lifestyles."
   The 10 national parks to be part of the initiative include the Akan Mashu National Park in the northernmost prefecture of Hokkaido, the Nikko National Park in the eastern prefecture of Tochigi and the Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park, which straddles the southwestern prefectures of Kagoshima and Miyazaki.
