五輪４者会談、欠席へ　森氏女性蔑視発言受け―小池都知事

　東京五輪・パラリンピック組織委員会の森喜朗会長の女性蔑視発言を受け、東京都の小池百合子知事は１０日、近く開催予定の東京五輪のトップ級４者会談について「今はポジティブな発信にならないと思うので私は出席することはない」と述べた。都庁で記者団の取材に答えた。
　都には９日までに苦情や抗議が１４０５件寄せられ、道案内などを行う「都市ボランティア」の辞退も９７件あった。小池氏は「非常に悲しい。新型コロナウイルス（の感染）を抑え、そして盛り上げていく中でこれだけ皆さんに不快な思いをさせてしまい、開催都市の長として残念に思う」と話した。
　会談は小池氏のほか、森氏と国際オリンピック委員会（ＩＯＣ）のバッハ会長、橋本聖子五輪担当相が出席し、今月中に開くことが決まっていた。
　加藤勝信官房長官は１０日の記者会見で、小池氏の発言について「政府として評価する立場にはない」と言及を避け、４者会談の日程は「現段階で何ら決まったものはない」と説明した。（2021/02/10-12:29）

Koike to Skip Tokyo Games 4-Party Meeting

Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike said Wednesday that she will not attend a planned four-way meeting of high-level officials for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, following sexist remarks by games organizing committee head Yoshiro Mori.
   "I'm not going to attend it as it wouldn't send a positive message given the current situation," Koike told reporters.
   During a meeting of the Japanese Olympic Committee last week, Mori said meetings with a lot of women take too long because they talk too much.
   The metropolitan government had received 1,405 complaints regarding Mori's remarks as of Tuesday, and 97 volunteers assigned to guide visitors on the street during the Tokyo Games had offered to resign.
   "It's extremely sad," Koike said.
