千葉で鳥インフル、８例目　殺処分累計４３０万羽

　千葉県は８日、匝瑳市の養鶏場で致死率の高い高病原性とみられる鳥インフルエンザを確認したと発表した。県は飼育されている約２５万羽を殺処分する。同県の殺処分数は今シーズン累計約４３０万羽と、県内で飼養する採卵鶏の３分の１強に上る見通し。
　同県での発生は３日連続で、昨年１２月以来８例目。発生養鶏場は一部を除き近接しておらず、詳しい感染経路は分かっていない。農林水産省は８日、県との連携を強化するため、現地に対策本部を設置。発生予防や防疫措置について助言する。
　県によると、７日に鶏舎１棟内で複数羽がまとまって死んでいると家畜保健衛生所に連絡があり、簡易検査で陽性を確認。その後の遺伝子検査で、高病原性の可能性が高いことが判明した。（2021/02/08-09:02）

Bird Flu Outbreak Spreads Further in Chiba

The Chiba prefectural government said Monday that it has confirmed an outbreak of avian influenza, believed to be highly pathogenic, at an egg-laying chicken farm in the city of Sosa.
   The prefectural government will cull some 250,000 chickens raised at the affected farm.
   The cumulative number of chickens slaughtered in Chiba this season is projected to reach about 4.3 million, or more than one-third of egg-laying hens raised in the prefecture, east of Tokyo.
   The prefecture confirmed a bird flu outbreak for the third successive day. The latest case is the eighth farm outbreak of bird flu in Chiba since December last year.
   It remains unknown how the bird flu spread to the farm in Sosa.
