百貨店２社、増収に転換　前年は増税で落ち込み―１０月

　大手百貨店４社が２日発表した１０月の既存店売上高（速報）は、そごう・西武と高島屋がそれぞれ１３カ月ぶりに前年実績を上回った。昨年１０月は消費税増税で落ち込んでいた。宝飾品など高額商品の販売も回復した。
　そごう・西武は前年同月比６．３％増、高島屋は２．７％増だった。そごう・西武では宝石や時計の販売が好調。同社は「旅行に行けない代わりに購入している」（広報）とみている。冬物衣料品にも動きが出ているという。（2020/11/02-19:30）

Two of four major Japanese department store operators saw their same-store sales turn up for the first time in 13 months in October, according to their preliminary reports released Monday.
Sogo & Seibu Co., a unit of Seven & i Holdings Co. , and Takashimaya Co. posted year-on-year sales rises of 6.3 pct and 2.7 pct, respectively.
