「ほとんど脂身」の和牛届く＝ふるさと納税の返礼品－宮崎、鹿児島

　ふるさと納税の返礼品として発送した和牛に対し、「ほとんど脂身だ」などの批判が集まり、宮崎県美郷町や鹿児島県いちき串木野市が謝罪に追い込まれるなどしている。
　美郷町で問題となったのは、１万円以上の寄付者への返礼品「宮崎県産黒毛和牛薄切り８００グラム」。受け取った男性が５日、「ほとんど脂身の物が送られてきた」と写真付きでツイッターに投稿し、町に批判が殺到した。町は８日までにホームページにおわびを掲載した。
　返礼品は宮崎市内の食肉加工販売会社が７月以降、４０人に発送。品質管理が甘かったといい、町はこの返礼品の受け付けを停止し、希望者には代替品を発送する。
　いちき串木野市では昨年度、返礼品の和牛に「ほとんど脂身」「発送が遅い」などの苦情が１００件以上寄せられた。
　市によると、返礼品は鹿児島市内の食肉販売会社が扱った「鹿児島県産黒毛和牛肩バラスライス１キロ」。昨年１０月上旬から発注が急増し、市が受け付けを打ち切ったが、販売会社は「想定を超える受注の多さに対応できなかった」と釈明した。希望者には交換などの対応をしたという。
　市は寄付者に謝罪し、「今後は業者と連携し、製造過程の確認や数量管理を徹底する」としている。（2019/10/15-15:16）

"Wagyu" Japanese beef full of fat sent as gifts in return for tax-deductible donations to some municipalities has drawn complaints from donors.
   The town of Misato in Miyazaki Prefecture and Ichikikushikino in Kagoshima Prefecture, both in southwestern Japan, apologized to those who donated to them under the "furusato nozei" donation program over the beef in question.
   Misato, which made available 800 grams of sliced Miyazaki kuroge wagyu beef as a gift to those who donated 10,000 yen or more to the town, came under fire after a man said on Twitter on Oct. 5 that most of what he got was fat and posted a photo of it.
   The town offered an apology on its website. A company processing and selling meat in the prefecture's capital sent the beef to 40 donors after July, according to the town.
   Citing the company's lax quality management, Misato removed the beef from the list of return gifts from which donors can choose. It plans to send replacements to donors who want the beef to be exchanged.
