「秘密文化」根絶目指す　意識改革へ現場訪問―榊原関電会長

　関西電力の榊原定征会長（前経団連会長）は４日、インタビューに応じ、金品受領問題の再発防止に向けた意識改革を徹底するため、各事業所の訪問を本格的に開始する考えを明らかにした。１～２カ月に１度のペースで主要発電所などを訪問し、現場社員と直接意見を交換。問題の根底にあると指摘する「秘密文化」の根絶を目指す。
　榊原会長は、関電幹部の間に「内々で始末して秘密にすれば、何とかなるという文化」があり、一連の問題の原因になったと指摘した。その上で、「そういうことが絶対できない仕組みをつくり、社外の目で監視していく」と強調した。
　一方で、７月に子会社役員による金品受領が内部通報で発覚したことを踏まえ、「（不正を）見逃さない意識が浸透しつつある」とも語り、現場訪問で意識改革を加速すると説明した。
　原発依存度が高い関電は、不祥事で電力業界全体の信頼を揺るがす事態を自ら招いた。ただ、榊原会長は「再稼働を進めることが、われわれの使命だ」と表明。温室効果ガスの排出量削減には原発再稼働が不可欠だと訴え、地元住民の理解を得るため説明を尽くす考えを示した。（2020/09/05-00:12）

Kansai Electric Power Co. Chairman Sadayuki Sakakibara has said that he plans to begin visiting offices and power stations of the firm as part of reform efforts following its high-profile gift scandal.
Sakakibara, former chairman of the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), the country's biggest business lobby, will make such a visit once every one or two months to exchange opinions with employees, aiming to root out the power supplier's culture of secrecy that is believed to have led to the gift scandal and other problems at the firm.
