合流新党、１０日代表選　国民労組系は不参加

　立憲民主、国民民主両党と二つの無所属グループは１日、代表選挙管理委員会を開き、合流新党の代表選を「７日告示―１０日投開票」の日程で行うことを決めた。新党名も同時に選定する。結党大会を１５日に行うことも決定した。一方、国民民主の民間労組系議員９人は新党不参加を決めた。
　代表選では告示後に候補者の共同記者会見や討論会を開く。結党大会は当初、１６日を予定していたが、政府・自民党が同日に臨時国会を召集する方向で調整に入ったため前倒しした。立憲の枝野幸男代表は１日の党会合で「いい形で新しい党をスタートさせ、遠からず衆院総選挙で政治状況を転換させたい」と意気込みを語った。
　枝野氏は新党名に「立憲民主党」を掲げて立候補する見通しで、党名を含め「当確」とみられている。国民側は泉健太政調会長が出馬を模索。国民の小沢一郎衆院議員は１日の記者会見で、早期の衆院解散観測を踏まえて「この時期に好ましくない」と述べ、枝野氏の無投票選出を主張した。泉氏周辺は「影響はない。出馬する」と語った。
　一方、国民支持の産業別労組とその出身議員は１日、オンライン会議を開催。参院選比例代表で当選した議員７人全員に加え、衆院側から浅野哲（比例北関東）、古本伸一郎（愛知１１区）両氏が出席し、新党への不参加を決定した。
　会議では、国民の玉木雄一郎代表が設立する新党をめぐり、参加を主張する意見と「状況を見極めたい」とする声が出た。今後は各産別で対応を協議する。
　これに対し、連合は幹部会合を急きょ招集し、国民を支えてきた民間労組を含む「連合総体」で合流新党を支援すると改めて確認。神津里季生会長は記者会見で「混乱をつくり出した玉木さんのところに組織内議員が行くことは許容できない」と強調。玉木新党への支援も否定した。（2020/09/01-19:04）

The Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan and the Democratic Party for the People decided Tuesday that the leader of the new Japanese opposition party to be created through their merger will be elected on Sept. 10.
   The name of the new party will also be decided on the day. The new party will hold its inaugural convention on Sept. 15.
   The schedules were set at a joint meeting among members of the CDPJ and the DPFP, and two groups of independent lawmakers. Before the election, candidates will hold a joint press conference and a debate.
   "We hope that the leadership election will boost expectations among the public" for the launch of a large opposition force, CDPJ Secretary-General Tetsuro Fukuyama told reporters.
   The inaugural convention had been originally planned for Sept. 16, but was moved up because the ruling Liberal Democratic Party is considering convening an extraordinary session of the Diet, the country's parliament, on that day.
