としまえん、惜しまれ閉園　９４年の歴史に幕―東京

　首都圏有数の遊園地として親しまれた東京都練馬区の「としまえん」が３１日、９４年の歴史に幕を下ろし閉園した。新型コロナウイルスの影響で事前予約制となった最終日のチケットは完売。訪れた家族連れらは、見納めとなる園内を写真に収めるなど思い思いに別れを告げた。
　同園は１９２６年に開園。世界初とされた流れるプールや、１９０７年にドイツで造られた回転木馬「カルーセルエルドラド」などが人気を博した。ピーク時の９２年には年間来場者数が約３９０万人に達したが、近年は１００万人前後に減少していた。
　園内では午後８時半から閉園セレモニーが開かれ、カルーセルエルドラドが最後の運転を開始。スタッフら約１５０人が深々と頭を下げると、客から「ありがとう」「としまえん大好き」などと声が上がった。（2020/08/31-21:29）

Visitors bid farewell to the Toshimaen amusement park in Tokyo's Nerima Ward on the final day of its 94-year run on Monday.
   Families and other visitors said their goodbyes in their own ways. Many took pictures inside one of the leading amusement parks in the greater Tokyo area.
   Tickets for the park's final day were sold out. The park's operator had switched to an advance booking system due to the novel coronavirus epidemic.
   The amusement park opened in 1926.
   The park's popular attractions included its river pool, believed to be the world's first, and a wooden carousel made in Germany in 1907.
